- Learn One Subject Really Well:- Success in cracking IIT-JEE depends on mastering a subject. You need to have an extensive understanding of that subject before you can begin with the other subjects. Don’t try to cover everything at once and give your 100% to one particular topic. Let me take Chemistry as an example here. You can read books, do ‘Numerical, Mechanics and Organic Chemistry’ as well. But while doing ‘Mechanics and Organic’ you can spend more time on the former because it’s difficult to understand it completely.
- Don’t Waste Your Time :- While studying for your other subjects you should focus more on those topics rather than wasting your time in the midst of those topics by solving questions from all topics at one go. It is better to do fewer problems of a particular topic rather than doing many problems from all (almost unrelated) topics. This will help you in a number of ways.
- Make Practice Sets:- It is better to solve practice sets rather than solving single questions. It’s because they contain a large number of solved questions spread across different topics. This will help you to understand different methods used by experts to solve various types of problems and help in improving your speed too.
- You Should Keep Working till the Last Minute:- The last minute effort pays off much more as compared to an equal amount of effort put up earlier. So, put all efforts at the last minute as this is when your brain works most efficiently and you are least likely to miss out on any important work or information available during your preparation.
- Keep Practicing Everyday:- As we said, the last minute effort pays off the maximum. So, rather than following a weekly study plan or a monthly one you should stick to an everyday plan. If you do this then it’ll be easier for you to solve questions at the last moment.
